Cardiff Youth Led Grants

The Youth-Led Grant awards are small grants allocated by the youth-led grant panel, to other young people for community action projects that encourage and create opportunities for more young people to get into volunteering.

What is the Cardiff Youth Led Grant?

Cardiff Youth Led Grants are small grants offered by young people to young people to support community action projects that encourage youth volunteering.

Over the last few years, the grant funding has supported a range of projects and activities that provide young people the means to increase their confidence, gain experience and make a genuine difference to their communities. Past examples of funded projects have included volunteering to support health and wellbeing, sports and recreation, among other schemes provided by and for young people.

Click here to learn more about past examples of funded projects.

Want to Join our Youth-Led Grant Panel?

We’re looking for young people aged 14-25 to join our Youth Led Grant (YLG) Panel – a fantastic opportunity to have your say on which youth-led projects get funded in your area.

What’s involved?

As a panelist, you will:

  • Review funding applications submitted by young people
  • Work with fellow panel members to decide which projects to support
  • Liaise with funded projects throughout the year
  • Review end-of-project reports and celebrate their successes

Being a Youth-Led Grant Panelist is a brilliant chance to develop new skills, meet like-minded young people, and make a real difference in your community. If you have any questions about joining the panel, please email volunteer@c3sc.org.uk
