Youth Led Grants (YLG)

Panel

Are you interested in affecting change in your community? Perhaps you are someone who has always had an interest in volunteering and would like to learn more about how good ideas are turned into better projects. Or maybe you have just started your journey into the third sector, and are eager to make a difference in the lives of young people.

The YLG Panel offers an opportunity for 14-25 year olds to be at the forefront of grant funding and project monitoring. As a panellist, you will meet regularly to promote the YLG fund, decide which youth-based projects are awarded funding, and make new friends along the way! If you or a young person you know may be interested please contact us.

We are currently recruiting for the 2023/2024 Youth Led Grant panel – please contact our Volunteer Centre Development Officer, Callum Jones, by email: [email protected] or call 07973 725 569 if you would like more information on joining the panel.

Funding

Are you a young person with an idea for improving your community? Do you see a need, and have a solution? If so, the Youth Led Grant could help you realize your non-profit initiative. Applications for funding open from April every year, and you can apply for a small grant of up to £1500 from a pot of £6200. (A higher amount may be considered under exceptional circumstances.)

C3SC’s Third Sector Development Officers also offer advice and support for other funding opportunities, to set up and develop a new community group or organisation and or become a member of C3SC, visit our Support page for more information.

Do you want to volunteer in Cardiff?

The Cardiff Volunteer Centre @ C3SC (Cardiff Third Sector Council) is run by the community, for the community. The Centre acts as a central hub where anyone in Cardiff can find out about volunteering opportunities. We help people who want to volunteer and organisations recruiting volunteers to find the right opportunities.

C3SC is here to help you volunteer in your local community. We have hundreds of different volunteering opportunities with charities, community groups and statutory organisations across the capital. If you want to give back whilst being part of a movement to make a difference then we’re here to help.

There are two ways to access our service:

C3SC volunteering opportunities can be found on the Volunteering Wales website.
