Meet the Youth Panel

Want to join our youth-led panel?

We are looking for 14-25 year-olds to join our Youth-Led Grant Panel! This is a great opportunity to get involved and have your say on what youth-led projects are funded in your area.

As a panelist, you will learn from your fellow members and socialise as you review funding applications from young people and decide which projects to sponsor. You will then have the opportunity to see the benefits of this funding by liaising with the projects over the course of the year, and review the successes of each when they submit their end of project reports. Are you a young person aged 14-25 involved in social action, a volunteering project or helping your community? The Cardiff Youth Led Grants could be for you.

The Youth-Led Grant awards are small grants allocated by young people to young people for community action projects that encourage more people (aged 14-25) to volunteer. This is a fantastic opportunity to enable positive social action while giving young people the skills to build a strong foundation for a new idea and bring it to life.

Up to £1,500 is available for each pilot project of up to one year and up to £3,500 for projects that are looking for funding for up to 30 months. Funding for multi-year proposals will be released annually to a maximum amount of £1,500 per year.
