Webinar: EU Settlement Scheme

Helping EU, EEA and Swiss citizens to secure their rights to stay in the UK

26 November 2020, 2pm – 3pm

EU, EEA and Swiss citizens who want to stay in the UK beyond 31 December 2020 will need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) by the 30th June 2021. The Welsh Government is working with a number of organisations in Wales to offer free advice and support for any EU, EEA and Swiss citizen living in Wales, to ease concerns about applying and to help bust some myths about the process.

Newfields Law and TGP Cymru will be delivering a webinar on 26th November for voluntary organisations, many of whom will work with vulnerable EU citizens who may not have applied to the scheme yet. The webinar will cover the key details of the EUSS and the application process, and it will provide information about how you can signpost and refer EU citizens to the support that’s most relevant to their specific needs.

The application deadline is fast approaching and reaching vulnerable people and groups has become even more challenging due to the Covid-19 pandemic, therefore we’d encourage your organisation to attend this webinar to find out how you can help people who need support with their EUSS application. In particular, this session is of use to organisations that work with people in need of social care, the elderly, ex-offenders, victims and survivors of domestic violence, those with mental health conditions, homeless people / homeless young people, looked after children and care leavers.
