PRIME Centre Wales has a research centre that focuses on primary and emergency care. They are committed to involving patients and members of the public in their research. That means, they include the public as equals within research teams to help us plan, undertake and disseminate our research. This role is different from being a participant in research, where people provide data.

PRIME Centre Wales works with a group of patients and public contributors – the SUPER group. This stands for Service Users for Primary and Emergency care Research. They are currently seeking new members. Members are volunteers, whose expertise is based on their personal experience of using primary and emergency care services, or caring for someone who does or has. Academic expertise is not necessary or expected. They offer an honorarium when people are involved, to acknowledge the experience-based expert contribution they make.
