The Cardiff Volunteer Awards 2020 was held on the 13 November 2020 – a date which holds a special significance as it is celebrated as World Kindness Day. The ceremony – attended by over 115 people on Zoom with over 1,100 engagements on Social Media, was to recognise the extraordinary efforts of volunteers, front line workers, and members of the community that have sacrificed their time, energy and resources to support our local communities.
“This has been an extremely difficult year for all of us. The volunteers across all sectors have been at the forefront, in helping manage the pandemic. We are taking this opportunity, to recognise their hard work in supporting vulnerable communities, even at the cost of their own safety. This is our way to thank them for their contributions,” said Sheila Hendrickson-Brown, CEO of Cardiff Third Sector Council. If you missed the ceremony, please join us to congratulate and applaud all the nominees and winners!
