Invitation to apply for up to £10,000 for short breaks for unpaid carers

TuVida is inviting third sector organisations to apply for funding of up to £10,000 to provide short break opportunities for unpaid carers across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

With funding from Welsh Government through the Regional Partnership Board, this is an opportunity to help unpaid carers of all ages take a much-needed break, support their wellbeing and enjoy time for themselves.

Tuvida welcome proposals shaped by what matters to carers, particularly those who face barriers to accessing a break. Opportunities could include group activities, days out, overnight stays or support to enjoy a hobby, helping carers feel connected and reducing isolation.

Funding is available in the following categories:

  • £500–£1,500 for small, established groups providing meals or activities.
  • Up to £5,000 to establish new groups or projects that directly support unpaid carers.
  • Up to £10,000 for larger groups delivering short break opportunities for unpaid carers.

The following documents will be provided to support your application:

  • Short Breaks Guidance — information about eligibility, what can be funded and funding requirements.
  • Application Form Guidance — support to help you complete each section.
  • Application Form — for completion.
  • Third sector process – explaining the step by step.
  • Budget Template — for completion alongside your application.

Please read the guidance before applying and return your completed application, budget and required supporting documents to lisahowells@tuvida.org.

Application deadline: 5pm on 6 November 2026.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your proposal, please contact Lisa at the email address above.

If you would like to have the documents in Welsh, please contact Lisa Howells.

Thank you for the work you do to support unpaid carers. We look forward to hearing your ideas and working together to make meaningful breaks available to those who need them most.

Gwahoddiad i wneud cais: Hyd at £10,000 ar gyfer seibiannau byr i ofalwyr di-dâl

Annwyl bartneriaid,

Mae TuVida yn gwahodd sefydliadau’r trydydd sector i wneud cais am gyllid o hyd at £10,000 i ddarparu cyfleoedd seibiannau byr i ofalwyr di-dâl ledled Caerdydd a Bro Morgannwg.

Gyda chyllid gan Lywodraeth Cymru drwy’r Bwrdd Partneriaeth Rhanbarthol, mae hwn yn gyfle i helpu gofalwyr di-dâl o bob oed i gael seibiant y mae mawr ei angen, cefnogi eu lles a mwynhau amser iddynt eu hunain.

Rydym yn croesawu cynigion sydd wedi’u llywio gan yr hyn sy’n bwysig i ofalwyr, yn enwedig y rhai sy’n wynebu rhwystrau rhag cael seibiant. Gallai’r cyfleoedd gynnwys gweithgareddau grŵp, diwrnodau allan, arosiadau dros nos neu gymorth i fwynhau hobi, gan helpu gofalwyr i deimlo’n fwy cysylltiedig a lleihau ynysigrwydd.

Mae cyllid ar gael yn y categorïau canlynol:

  • £500–£1,500 i grwpiau bach sydd eisoes wedi’u sefydlu ac sy’n darparu prydau bwyd neu weithgareddau.
  • Hyd at £5,000 i sefydlu grwpiau neu brosiectau newydd sy’n cefnogi gofalwyr di-dâl yn uniongyrchol.
  • Hyd at £10,000 i grwpiau mwy sy’n darparu cyfleoedd seibiannau byr i ofalwyr di-dâl.

Bydd y dogfennau canlynol yn cael eu darparu i’ch helpu gyda’ch cais:

  • Canllawiau Seibiannau Byr — gwybodaeth am gymhwysedd, yr hyn y gellir ei ariannu a’r gofynion cyllido.
  • Canllawiau’r Ffurflen Gais — cymorth i’ch helpu i gwblhau pob adran.
  • Ffurflen Gais — i’w chwblhau.
  • Templed Cyllideb — i’w gwblhau ochr yn ochr â’ch cais.

Darllenwch y canllawiau cyn gwneud cais ac anfonwch eich ffurflen gais wedi’i chwblhau, eich cyllideb a’r dogfennau ategol gofynnol at lisahowells@tuvida.org.

Dyddiad cau ar gyfer ceisiadau: 5pm ar 6 Tachwedd 2026.

Os oes gennych unrhyw gwestiynau neu os hoffech drafod eich cynnig, cysylltwch â Lisa drwy’r cyfeiriad e-bost uchod.

Os hoffech gael y dogfennau yn Gymraeg, cysylltwch â Lisa Howells.

Diolch am y gwaith rydych yn ei wneud i gefnogi gofalwyr di-dâl. Rydym yn edrych ymlaen at glywed eich syniadau a chydweithio i sicrhau bod seibiannau ystyrlon ar gael i’r rhai sydd eu hangen fwyaf.
