In Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan we are taking a whole system approach to good food and movement. Together we have developed the Good Food and Movement Framework (2024-2030) which describes our shared vision, the approach we are taking, our priorities, and how we will work together to enable good food and movement for everyone in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
We recognise the vital role that communities, and those who work with them, play in shaping the places where we live, work, learn and play, and in creating environments that support access to good food and opportunities for movement.
Please join us for a collaborative one-day workshop that will explore the potential for developing a more strategic approach to community health development across the city, developing a shared understanding of what community health development looks like in Cardiff, and exploring the challenges and opportunities. We are inviting anyone who sees themselves as working in the field of community health development across Cardiff , and everyone working in this field from leaders, funders and community workers to join us
By community health development, we mean ‘anyone working alongside communities to empower and support people to improve health and wellbeing outcomes’. This includes those who help communities build on their strengths, address local challenges, and influence the wider factors that shape health.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided, and we hope the day will be filled with meaningful conversations, connection, shared learning, and energy.
