Baromedr Cymru Wave 5 now open: funding and finances in focus

When Baromedr Cymru last looked at funding, 45% of organisations said their financial position had deteriorated, 56% had used reserves in the previous 12 months and 33% said funders did not cover their full costs.

Wave 5 is now open from 7 October to 4 November, giving us an important temperature check on what has changed since then. Alongside the regular questions tracking trends across the voluntary sector, this wave looks at how organisations are managing financially, how easy or difficult it is to secure funding, whether grants and contracts cover the true cost of delivery, and how funding pressures are affecting future plans.

Voluntary organisations of every size and type across Wales are encouraged to take part. Whether their financial position has improved, stayed the same or become more difficult, their experiences will help show how the funding landscape is changing across the sector.

What’s in it for your organisation?

By taking part, you will receive:

  • A tailored Individual Insight Report so you can compare your organisation’s experience with wider voluntary sector trends
  • Useful evidence for funding conversations, helping you put your own experience into a wider Wales-wide context
  • Evidence to support planning and decision-making with trustees, senior teams, partners and stakeholders
  • Access to the wider findings, helping you understand what other organisations are experiencing and how the sector is changing
