Volunteering Wales Main Grant Information Session

In this session, WCVA will explore what makes a high-quality volunteering project, where organisations can access further support and what the assessors will be looking for in applications to the Volunteering Wales Grants. The session will cover:

  • Overview of volunteering guidance and resources
  • Tips and guidance for each question of the VWG application
  • Investors In Volunteers quality mark
  • How CVC’s work to support your organisation and the wider sector
  • Reviewing your Safeguarding policy

Volunteering Wales is about ‘…the kind of country we want to be’.

The Volunteering Wales Main Grant (VWMG) 2022-25 is now open to applications! This year’s aims are:

  • Increase volunteer engagement and satisfaction by removing barriers to volunteering for people of all ages and from all parts of society.
  • Support the creation and development of high quality and positive volunteering opportunities in Wales.
  • Promote changes in beneficiary organisations to embed volunteering into their culture e.g. obtaining the Investing in Volunteers Award.

Organisations can apply for awards of up to two years with a maximum request of £25,000 per year.

WCVA want to ensure that the voluntary sector have the resources and guidance to offer quality volunteering experiences that align with the Well-being of Futures Generations Act.

This event will not only provide tips on the application itself but will demonstrate how your work could fit into the wider volunteering strategy across Wales. It will giving you advice on how a VWMG can create a legacy of volunteering culture within your organisation and communities including information on Investors In Volunteers quality mark.
