StreetGames are delighted to be launching a new funding opportunity for the network in Wales! Thanks to the kind support of the Welsh Government and Sport Wales, network members are able to apply for funding to run new weekly Doorstep Sport and / or Us Girls provision in underserved communities across Wales. A maximum of £3,500 per delivery site will be available for weekly delivery through to March 31st 2022, with additional funding available to deliver a local Doorstep Sport festival. Successful applicants will also have access to fully funded StreetGames training and activator workshops in 2022 – details of which will be agreed on a case by case basis depending on local needs.

Applications are open now and will close at 9am, Monday 10th January 2022. These should be made through the StreetGames portal, which can be accessed here: https://www.grantrequest.co.uk/SID_34?SA=SNA&FID=35432

They are offering applicants the opportunity to submit a video response to the main part of the application instead of typing out answers. Details on how to do this can be found on the application form inside the portal – please let them know if you have any difficulties in using this option.

More detailed information on the fund – including eligibility criteria, the training programme, timescales and next steps can be found in the briefing document here: Briefing Document.pdf

If you’d like to discuss the fund or your proposal in more detail, the Fundraising Manager is more than happy to arrange a 1-1 conversation with you – please email kevin.roberts@streetgames.org
