Welsh Charities Week – 15-19 November 2021

Welsh Charities Week will take place between the 15-19 November 2021. The aim of the week is to celebrate and shine a light on the amazing work of charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and volunteers across Wales.

Organised by WCVA, Welsh Charities Week is supported by ITV Cymru Wales.

  • 26.1% of people in Wales do at least one day of volunteering per year
  • There are 49,044 Voluntary organisations in Wales
  • Cardiff & Powys has the most voluntary organisations (Cardiff with 3,860 organisations and Powys with 3,696)
  • 65-74 year olds are the demographic who give the most of their time – 30.1% of this group volunteer
