The Wales Sport Awards is back for 2017.
Sport Wales, in partnership with BBC Cymru Wales, will again jointly host the 2017 Wales Sport Awards.
The Wales Sport Awards provides a vital annual showcase for us to promote sport and champion the importance of community sport, alongside the elite stars.
The biggest development for the 2017 Awards is the introduction of two new nomination categories. As well as celebrating the individual stars of grassroots sport, the judges will be looking for organisations and sporting experiences that are gripping the nation and stirring more people to make being active part of their lives. The new categories are: Sporting Experience of the Year and Organisation of the Year.
This year’s Awards will also see a change in venue. The Awards will be held at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport and will take place on Monday 4th December.
The new venue provides an even bigger stage for our Welsh sporting champions, with an increased capacity as the event proves to grow year-on-year.
