Time to Talk Public Health: February-March 2023 Panel Survey Findings
Time to Talk Public Health is a new nationally representative panel of Welsh residents established by Public Health Wales to enable regular public engagement to inform public health policy and practice. Welsh residents were asked their views on a range of subjects including awareness of screening programmes and campaigns, sustainability, and their current concerns.
1,007 panel members responded The Time to Talk public health survey conducted in February and March 2023. Key findings include:
- 90% of people in Wales agreed (54% strongly agreed) with the statement ‘Big businesses such as supermarkets need to do more to help people change their behaviour’.
- 81% of people were very concerned (40%) or fairly concerned (41%) about climate change.
- 72% of people agreed (21% strongly agreed) that ‘It is my responsibility to do something about climate change’.
- 45% of people in Wales agreed with the statement ‘There is so much conflicting information about climate change it is difficult to know what to believe’.
