Cardiff Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council in partnership with Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC) and Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) have allocated at least £30,000 to fund innovative third sector sustainable preventative community activities and services in Cardiff and the Vale that provide support to people with learning disabilities. The Fund is administered by C3SC in partnership with GVS.
The Fund is to help deliver solutions in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan to meet the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 four fundamental principles: Voice and control; prevention and early intervention; wellbeing; and co-production The fund can also focus on minimizing the impact of the pandemic on the voluntary sector and the communities they serve, reducing the inequalities across society highlighted or resulting from COVID-19, recognising that many communities suffered disproportionately.
In addition, applications must demonstrate at least one of the five ways of working of the Wellbeing of Future Generations (Act) 2015 – prevention, involvement, collaboration, integration and is long term (sustainable).
The Programme is open for applications from 10th Dec 2021 with a deadline for submission of 5pm on 7th January 2022.
