A new toolkit devised by Welsh Women’s Aid to encourage communities to show solidarity with survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The ‘Stand With Survivors’ bystander toolkit aims to help volunteers, communities and employers recognise the dangers of violence against women and the process to safely signpost to support.
Social distancing and isolation can increase the risk of violence and abuse against women and make it harder for survivors to access the support that they need.
It is vitally important, when opportunities to seek help may be limited, that communities come together to look-out for each other. The ‘Stand With Survivors’ toolkit offers a number of resources to help communities increase awareness of abuse and guidance on safe and effective ways to be supportive to survivors.
I would like to invite you to download the toolkit, share the information with your networks and encourage everyone to signpost to support via the Live Fear Free Helpline (0808 80 10 800).
