Why volunteer with Macmillan?

There are so many ways to get involved. Whether it’s minutes or months, hours or days, the time you give really does matter and you can make a real impact in your community.

The support provided by Macmillan volunteers helps us to be there for people with cancer, in their community, from the moment of diagnosis and for however long they need us.

With 3 million people in the UK now living with cancer, Macmillan’s role has never been more crucial. The support provided by Macmillan volunteers is integral to helping us to be there for people with cancer, in their community, from the moment of diagnosis and for however long they need us.

The coronavirus pandemic is still impacting the types of volunteering we can offer at Macmillan, as we seek to protect our volunteers and people living with cancer. Macmillan volunteers are continuing to have a crucial impact, by directly supporting people with cancer, powering our fundraising and supporting our backend operations. So, whilst you may see a reduced level of roles available at the moment, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and have a real impact. If you don’t find something suitable today, please check back another time.  To see what volunteering opportunities are available, please click here.
