As a way of reducing social isolation over the winter months, Pedal Power, through funding from Welsh Government, have organised Lantern Rides which is now in its third year of running. This is the perfect opportunity for cyclists of all ages and abilities to come together to shrug off winter blues and light up the parks and streets of Cardiff. It’s also an opportunity to promote inclusive cycling in Cardiff. The rides are all about bringing some light into the dark winter evenings -riders are encouraged to light up their bikes and Pedal Power will be running free lantern-making workshops in their café in the run up to the rides. More details below:

Details:

  • Two rides scheduled – Sunday 8th February and Sunday 22nd February
  • Both follow the same route – see Route for ride.jpg
  • Rides leave Pedal Power, Pontcanna at 5.30pm and will return by 6.30pm
  • Riders can bring their own cycle or hire one from Pedal Power
  • All riders get a free hot chocolate at the finish!
