Every Moment Matters – Supporting End-of-Life Care with Compassion
Cardiff and Vale UHB has introduced the ‘Every Moment Matters’ initiative to enhance dignity and respect for patients receiving end-of-life care. The scheme features a discreet symbol to indicate when a patient is in their final days, helping to create a quieter, more respectful environment for them and their loved ones.
The symbol is only displayed with patient or family consent and in accordance with the All Wales Care Decisions Guidance. Staff and visitors are encouraged to be mindful of noise and approach with sensitivity when the symbol is present.
