Ofgem’s Default Tarrif Cap Consultation Event

27th June 2018

Join Ofgem’s CEO, Dermot Nolan, who will be in Cardiff on Wednesday 27th June to discuss the Default Tariff Cap consultation and the soon to be published Vulnerability Report.

Join Ofgem at the new Cardiff office in The Maltings, East Tyndall Street where they’ll be hosting two short workshops:

  • From 1pm – 2.30pm Dermot and the Vulnerability team will talk you through the Vulnerability Report, which gives insight into how well suppliers have supported vulnerable consumers in 2017. You will cover areas such as additional services vulnerable consumer need to engage in the market, how well suppliers support consumers in debt and how they are helping them stay on supply.
  • This workshop will discuss GB level trends and highlight specific issues that we see in Wales. It will give you valuable insight into how vulnerable consumers are experiencing the energy market and enable you to work together with the energy suppliers to improve their performance, share best practice and better support vulnerable consumers across Wales.
  • From 2.45pm – 4.15pm Dermot and Ofgem’s Retail Price Regulation team will be discussing the proposals to protect consumers on standard variable and default tariffs, following the launch of our Default Tariff Cap consultation in May.

This workshop will give you the opportunity discover what they’re consulting on and what this means for you. You will have an opportunity for debate and discuss the plans throughout the afternoon as they seek your feedback into the 2018 Default Tariff Cap consultation. Your comments will be officially recorded and fed into the consultation.

There is free parking on site or you can access the venue via bus. Light afternoon refreshments will be provided.
