National Intelligence Event 2013 – free

7th November 2013

In the know? Do we understand our communities’ needs, and how well we are meeting them?

In the current financial situation, the need to be ‘in the know’ has never been so important. Our ability to target resources and to prioritise public services and ensure value for money is essential.

It is therefore vital that we understand our communities, their needs, and improved ways in which we can engage with citizens. It is also equally important that we are able to effectively evaluate whether the interventions and initiatives we are delivering are providing positive outcomes.

This one-day event will bring together national partners to:

·        Explore the issues around obtaining meaningful evidence and insight.

·        Address the challenges of obtaining data at a community level in Wales.

·        Consider how commercial data can help fill the gaps in our knowledge.

·        Understand the role effective evaluation plays in knowing if we’ve made a difference.

The event will include workshop sessions focussed on Welfare Reform, Census information, evaluation techniques and citizen engagement.

This event will be of interest to you if you:

·        Play a leadership role in your Local Service Board.

·        Are involved in developing policies or plans, such as the ‘Single Integrated Plan’ for your area.

·        Plan or monitor the delivery of plans or services.

·        Support the development and delivery of local plans and services through research or consultation within local authorities, health, police and other partner organisations.

·        Are engaged in obtaining the views of citizens.

This is a FREE event.
