Too Young to Fail
Save the Children invites you to attend: TOO YOUNG TO FAIL – Giving all children a fair chance in life
Attendance is free and is on a first come, first served basis.
It is widely acknowledged that living on or below the poverty line often traps children into a cycle of low educational attainment. Today in Wales 200,000 children are living in poverty. Like you, Save the Children believes that where a child is born should not dictate their destiny.
Save the Children is working in Wales to deliver innovative, evidence-based, sustainable programmes that enable children to achieve their potential in school. These programmes involve parents, families, schools and community partners.
You are invited to attend a free event with lunch and refreshments (kindly sponsored by Novotel). However, there is limited availability, so you must RSVP as attendance will be on a first come, first served basis.
Speakers include:
– Minister of Education and Skills, Huw Lewis
– Professor Lynn McDonald, Middlesex University, founder of FAST (Families and Schools Together)
By attending the conference, you will learn about opportunities to engage with our programmes including training, collaborative working and funding support. You will also be able to hear the experiences of parents, community partners and head teachers who have worked with Save the Children to date.
Please register for the event at http://tooyoungtofail.eventbrite.co.uk/ by 12pm Friday October 18th 2013.
