An Institute of Fundraising Cymru event
Grassroots (Cardiff) Ltd a long-standing youth development charity undertook a Crowdfunding campaign in the summer of 2015. The charity undertook Crowdfunding as a means of replacing a loss of core funding which was formerly awarded to the project from the Local Authority. Grassroots (Cardiff) Ltd has a long history of supporting young people and the charity thought that it could use its local connections to raise funds to maintain a full-time service to some of the city’s most complex and vulnerable young people. The charity undertook a three-month mission to raise a target of £20,000, using the local press, previous clients and social media to promote the campaign.”
In this presentation Dan Wilson (Grassroots [Cardiff] Ltd) will talk about the problems and pitfalls and highs and lows of this successful Crowdfunding campaign followed by an informal question and answer session.
