The Big Lottery Fund would like to invite you to their consultation event to kick off the first stages in developing their new funding vision for the period 2015-2021.

A great deal has changed since The Big Lottery Fund published ‘Big Thinking’, but the mission remains the same: to bring real improvements’ to communities and the lives of people most in need’.

Big Lottery Fund would like to gain your views and ideas to inform who they are as a funder, what they should be doing as well as potential investment areas for Wales.

The investment areas that they are considering include:

– Rural poverty
– Future proofing the third sector
– Support for disabled people or those with life limiting illnesses
– Financial resilience, literacy and inclusion
– Environment, with a focus on community based activities that build social capital.

The consultation will also offer ample opportunity to suggest and explore other potential themes. The South Wales event is taking place on Thursday 1 May at Future Inn in Cardiff.
