On 27th October 2015 the Equality and Human Rights Commission in Wales launched the Strategic Plan consultation for the period 2016-19. The Commission is required under the Equality Act 2006 to consult on and publish a strategic plan every three years.
This will coincide with the publication of ‘Is Britain Fairer?’, their report on the progress of equality and human rights in Britain. This report is produced every five years and sets out the key equality and human rights challenges which have fed into the development of the Strategic Plan.
“We want to hear how our draft strategic objectives resonate with you and how we can work together to move the equality and human rights agenda forward in Wales. We are interested in your views on the Strategic Plan and what you see as the most helpful role for the Equality and Human Rights Commission in Wales.
“It is important to the Commission that our Strategic Plan is relevant to our stakeholders and we would like to invite you to one of two third sector events to discuss it with us.”
