We would like to highlight Areatha Comanescu for winning the Volunteer Coordinator of the Year Award at the Cardiff Volunteer Awards 2024.

Areatha first joined The Birth Partner Project as a volunteer birth partner in January 2023 before becoming a Volunteer Coordinator after her commitment was recognised. Areatha has given her time generously to support multiple women during the most vulnerable and important stage of their life, putting together multiple volunteer birth teams to support Mamas as well as making sure they are trained to understand trauma-informed practice, safeguarding, and culturally appropriate care.

Thank you for all your hard work in supporting your local community.
