C3SC Supports Primary School Children to learn about Volunteering

C3SC recently hosted a stall at the Careers Fair at Grangetown Primary School supported by Cardiff Commitment, where pupils had the chance to learn about volunteering, volunteering safely, and the positive impact they can have on their communities. The team designed and delivered a series of activities to introduce children to volunteering in an accessible and age-appropriate way. When asked what volunteering meant to them, one Year 2 pupil captured it beautifully: ‘Volunteering is sharing.’ Whether it’s time, skills, or simply a kind gesture, a spirit of giving lies at the core of everything volunteering represents.

Thank you to Grangetown Primary School and Cardiff Commitment for the invitation to inspire a younger generation into volunteering, demonstrating that volunteering really is for anyone and everyone! Any families with young children are also welcome to explore the Family Volunteering Club – or to get in touch directly with our team. Email volunteer@c3sc.org.uk to get started.
