The C3SC team was delighted to support the 23rd edition of the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 4 October 2026, volunteering at a water station near the Norwegian Church in Cardiff Bay.
It was our second year of participating at this event, volunteering and joining a community of over 700 Extra Milers – volunteers who make this event possible. This year we helped keep runners hydrated by giving out the water to the runners as they made their way through the challenging 13.1-mile course. It was a wonderful opportunity to support the runners, contribute to one of Wales’s biggest sporting events, and be part of the incredible community spirit that makes the Cardiff Half Marathon so special. Alongside C3SC, Caerphilly Runners, Wales Millennium Centre, Trishedz, Newport Female Runners, Jo McElveen, Cardiff Uni Athletics, Arewa Wales Network, She Runs Cardiff, Cardiff & East Glamorgan Girl Guides, Dyfed & Glamorgan ACF, Cardiff & St Athan RAF Cadets, MEDIC PGR Training & Events, South Wales Police Cadets, Bridgend Explorers & Friends of Hong Kong were among the list of Extra Milers to cheer runners on.
A big thank you to all the C3SC team members who gave their time, energy, and enthusiasm to make the day a success. Your dedication and teamwork helped create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for the runners.
We are proud to see the C3SC team making a positive difference in the community through volunteering and look forward to taking part in more community events in the future.
Please get in touch if you would like the C3SC team to support one of your projects. This will give us first-hand experience of volunteering with your organisation and help us better understand your work, your needs and how we can best support you.
