C3SC is looking to work with volunteer-involving organisations who deliver befriending and/or practical support volunteering activities. In an exciting new pilot project exploring how to turn the Vision for Volunteering in Wales into practical action, the project is specifically looking to work with voluntary organisations in Cardiff who are interested in strengthening the way they involve and support volunteers.
Participating organisations will have the opportunity to reflect on their current volunteering practices, contribute valuable feedback, and help shape a new self-assessment framework to influence future volunteering support and policy across Wales. The project is not an audit or inspection, but a collaborative learning and development opportunity designed to help organisations identify strengths and challenges and develop practical improvements to strengthen their volunteering practice.
Beginning with onboarding later in October 2026, the project will involve participants in shared assessment and consultation throughout the autumn. Planning workshops will take place in January 2027 to consider how to embed shared learning, with implementation support, follow-up reviews and shared learning opportunities continuing through to March 2027. Participating organisations should anticipate contributing up to two hours per week and will receive a £1,500 grant alongside dedicated support from C3SC throughout the project.
This is a unique opportunity to strengthen your organisation’s volunteering, ensuring volunteer voices are heard and embedded in the future of volunteering practice in Cardiff and across Wales.
If you are interested in learning more or expressing an interest in your organisation participating in the project, please contact Kailee at volunteer@c3sc.org.uk and put ‘Vision for Volunteering” in the subject line.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 23:59 on 16 October 2026.
