
Housing with Care Fund (HCF): Information Session
Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board and C3SC are pleased to invite third sector organisations to an online information session to explore opportunities in accessing the Housing with Care Capital Fund.
The Housing with Care Fund supports the development of housing-based solutions that help people maintain their independence, improve wellbeing and reduce the need for more intensive forms of care. The fund aims to increase the availability of high-quality accommodation that enables people to live safely and independently while accessing the care and support they need.
The session will provide information and guidance about the funds available with an opportunity to discuss potential ideas and alignment with the fund’s priorities.
Objective 1 Housing with Care
- Extra care housing for older people
- Supported living accommodation for adults with learning or physical disabilities who need support to live independently
- Supported housing for other groups such as young people with complex needs (care leavers), adults with mental health needs
Objective 2: Intermediate Care and Accommodation
- Intermediate care and accommodation that are not-for-profit
- Residential accommodation for children and young people with high needs (small scale)
- Short term medium accommodation for adults with higher needs
- Intermediate care settings in the community – step down, reablement and rehabilitation, moving on/transitional placements, assessment centres with emergency or short-term beds
- Short term respite settings for unpaid carers and their cared for i.e. dementia, MH, ND and physical disabilities.

Who is this for?
Third sector organisations, charities, social enterprises, housing associations and other not-for-profit providers of accommodation services to the below priority groups across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
Priority Groups include:
- Older people including people with dementia
- Children and young people with complex needs
- People with learning disabilities, neuro-diverse and neurodevelopmental conditions
- Unpaid carers
- People with emotional health and mental well-being needs
