Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC) is delighted to be working in partnership with ACE – Action in Caerau and Ely – as part of the WCVA Strategic Volunteering Grant project. Together, we are supporting a hyper-local approach to developing high‑quality, inclusive volunteering opportunities across the Ely and Caerau communities. This work focuses on reducing barriers to volunteering, strengthening local networks, and helping community groups access the wide range of support and resources available through C3SC.
Following ACE’s January project launch event, which C3SC supported, we are now beginning regular drop‑in sessions at the Dusty Forge to connect with residents, grassroots groups, and emerging community leaders. These sessions will help us understand local priorities, identify support needs, and signpost groups to specialist guidance, training, and wider city‑wide networks.
Our next drop‑ins at the Dusty Forge will take place on 12 March and 26 March from 10am to 12pm noon, with further outreach planned across Ely and Caerau. We look forward to building strong relationships locally and helping groups thrive through volunteering.
