Welsh Government – Child Poverty Strategy Progress Report 2025
The Welsh Government has published its Child Poverty Strategy Progress Report 2025, outlining actions taken over the past year to address child poverty in Wales. Two accompanying publications have also been released:
  • Child Poverty Strategy Monitoring Framework – presenting population-level data across a range of child poverty indicators and measures.
  • Evidence from people with lived experience of poverty – capturing perspectives from children, young people and families to understand how policies are impacting them at a household level.
The Welsh Government reaffirms its commitment to tackling child poverty as a national priority, aiming to ensure that all children and young people in Wales can access their rights, enjoy wellbeing, and reach their full potential regardless of their socio-economic circumstances. Partnership working across the public, third and private sectors remains essential to achieving meaningful change.
Partners are encouraged to share this update within their networks.
