Thomas Crockett, Third Sector Development Officer at C3SC, recently worked with the Greek School of Wales. The school is run by The Hellenic Centre of Wales and aims to provide a space that is open to all and promote the teaching and learning of the Greek language and Hellenic cultural heritage.
Thomas explained ‘I worked with the school’s trustees and helped them to adopt a new Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) constitution, offering guidance and support. I was pleased to hear from the school that they are now registered with the Charity Commission which will ensure the school’s sustainability, and its contribution to the diverse culture within Cardiff, for the longer term.’
The charity told us, ‘The Greek School of Wales is more than a place of learning – it’s a warm and welcoming community. Students don’t just attend lessons; they become part of a family that celebrates Greek language, culture, and lifelong connections, inspiring a deep sense of belonging and lifelong learning.’
