We are excited to report that following the success of lasts years ‘Summer of Fun’ it is back again! The aim of Summer of Fun is to provide opportunities for young people aged 0-25 to improve the emotional, social, and physical wellbeing of children and young people. We aim to prioritise vulnerable and marginalised groups, and those families who are identified as requiring extra support.
The Summer of Fun was well received by all and we’re now looking to build on this success to support the wellbeing of children and young people, making this summer one to remember for all.
Summer of Fun (Haf o Hwyl)
This Welsh Government programme of funding is titled ‘Summer of Fun’/’Haf o Hwyl’ with the aim to support the wellbeing of children and young people ages 0-25 years, between 1st of July 2022 – September 6th 2022, focusing primarily on the six week summer holiday period.
Cardiff’s approach to ‘Summer of Fun’ will be made up of 2 primary elements: Community Grants, a two week outdoor festival on City Hall Lawn and an Arts and Cultural programme.
We want to support children and young people with their social, emotional, mental and physical wellbeing over the summer months. To achieve this, we would like to offer you the opportunity to apply for funding in the form of a community grant up to the sum of £5,000.
