Wales Enterprise Zone Business Rates Scheme (EZBRS)

The Welsh Enterprise Zone Business Rates Scheme has been set up to provide financial support for business rates liabilities incurred by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) located in one or more of the seven Enterprise Zones of Wales.

The scheme targets support at boosting job creation and business growth. It will operate as a competitive grant programme within each Enterprise Zone. Priority will be given to new start-ups and businesses looking to increase their workforce.

From a pool of £20 million to be awarded throughout the lifecycle of the scheme, individual grants of up to £55,000 per annum are available.

Applications are welcome from new and expanding businesses operating as SMEs within the boundary of a Welsh Enterprise Zone. These zones are located in Cardiff, Anglesey, Deeside, St Athan – Cardiff Airport, Snowdonia, Ebbw Vale and Haven Waterway.
