WCVA have launched a round of funding called the Volunteering Wales Strategic Grant Round 2021/22 on 28 June 2021. Its purpose is to unlock the potential for further embedding and/or upscaling of co-ordinated volunteering that has been demonstrated during the Coronavirus pandemic. Grants with a value of between £30,000 – £50,000 are available, however there is only £250,000 available, therefore they are looking to fund between 5-8 projects. The earliest start date for the projects will be mid November 2021, with final reports submitted by June 2022. This is a very short time frame for a strategic grant, so they are looking for organisations who have already begun development/plans/partnerships who will be able to hit the ground running in November.
This scheme is aimed at organisations who have been incorporated for a minimum of 2 years with an annual income more than £250,000 (this can be the average of the 3 previous years).
All applicants must speak to a member of WCVA or Welsh Government (listed below) before applying to ensure their proposal aligns with the aim and objectives of the fund.
