Relaunch of the Cardiff and Vale Unpaid Carers Charter
On 12th March 2025, coinciding with Young Carers Action Day, the Cardiff and Vale Unpaid Carers Charter is being relaunched to reaffirm the commitment of NHS, local authorities, and voluntary sector partners in recognising and supporting unpaid carers of all ages.
With 1 in 10 people in Cardiff and the Vale providing unpaid care, the updated Charter ensures better identification, recognition, and access to essential support for carers. It outlines commitments to improving services, providing clear pathways to financial and wellbeing support, and empowering carers with the right resources at the right time.
