C3SC is working in partnership with Cardiff Council to explore how the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) – an initiative by the UK Government as a central pillar of the Levelling Up agenda and successor to the European Social Fund – can provide support to communities and places in Cardiff. C3SC will be leading conversations with the third sector at our Members’ forums, outreach events and training sessions, and will use what you tell us to advocate for the sector and inform the Local Authority’s plans.
The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK by investing in 3 priority areas:
- Community and Place
- Supporting Local Business
- People and Skills
Please note that the grant scheme delivered by C3SC will focus on addressing the priority area of Community and Place within the Shared Prosperity Fund Programme. In Section 3 of the application form, you must tick which Community and Place intervention you are going to support from the Shared Prosperity Fund programme. You can pick more than one intervention but is suggested that you try to keep to one for ease of ongoing monitoring. Intervention can be found in more detail here.
Examples of intervention include community measures to reduce the cost of living; support for local arts, cultural, heritage and creative activities; and creation of and improvements to local green spaces.
