Latest Update from the Screening Engagement Network
The Screening Engagement Network has shared a range of resources and updates to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, upcoming engagement initiatives for cervical screening, training opportunities, information for carers, and updates on bowel cancer screening.
Resources for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
  • Padlet: Users can download and share resources from the screening Padlet.
  • Public Health Wales Assets Library: Access and share Breast Cancer Awareness Month materials from the library.
  • Breast Cancer Now: Publications are available in various languages, along with community talks and awareness videos in Welsh and English.

Screening Engagement Team Update
  • The bowel screening age will be reduced to 50 starting in October; new Z Cards will be available. Organizations should check their current stock and order more if needed.
  • The Information for Carers webpage should be shared with relevant organizations.
  • The Working Together resource is available for distribution to support ethnic minority communities.

 

Community Screening Awareness Training
Regular Screening Awareness Training is offered, with the latest dates available on the Public Health Wales Training Page.

Future Engagement
Cervical Screening Wales is updating their invitation materials and seeks feedback from women and people with a cervix aged 20-30. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Joanne.powell7@wales.nhs.uk by the end of September.
