About the Program
The Reconnect with Academic Research (RWAR) program is a short, structured course designed to support refugees and asylum seekers (RAS) with a postgraduate background to reconnect with academic research in the UK. Delivered by Bridging the Gap, RWAR offers tailored support to help participants rebuild academic confidence, develop research and academic writing skills, and better understand the UK higher education system.

Dates: 26th August – 29th August 2025
Location: Cardiff University
Schedule: 10:00am – 5:00pm daily
Cost: Free to attend
Eligibility:
Refugees and asylum seekers aged 18+
Priority given to those with postgraduate qualifications

Spaces are limited for this cohort. A simple application form will be provided upon request, and the Bridging the Gap team is available to support applicants through the process.
