Probation Service Duty to Consult

On 8th June 2022 a new statutory duty came into effect, requiring Regional Probation Directors to undertake a consultation every calendar year with key stakeholders regarding community payback (CP).  The aims of the consultation are to strengthen partnerships with existing stakeholders, reach out to communities that the Probation Office have not previously engaged with, increase responsivity to local needs and tailor projects to priority offender cohorts to drive rehabilitation.
The Probation Officer welcomes your perspective on how CP can be of most benefit to communities and the organisations you work with.
The consultation runs between 2nd and 28th October and requires completion of a brief Microsoft forms survey (link below) .   Please share with any partnerships that you currently work with to ensure that we are reaching as many community engagement activities as possible.
