People and Homes Conference

Thursday 4th July – The Village Hotel Swansea

In this year’s conference we’ll be wrestling with the difficult questions: What more can we do to end homelessness in Wales? What powers should we be seeking from Westminster? How high can we aim?

Initial speakers confirmed for the event include:

  • Evrah Rose – A social injustice spoken word performer from North Wales
  • Dr Anthony Ince, Cardiff University – How the far right in the UK and Europe have used housing issues to further their cause
  • Julie James AM – Minister for Housing and Regeneration focuses on her priorities for housing and homelessness prevention
  • Dr Cliona Ni Cheallaigh, hospital consultant, St James’s  Dublin and pioneer in Inclusion Healthcare
  • Fiona King, Shelter Scotland sharing lessons from Scotland’s reforms of the private rented sector
