Here is a message from Cardiff Council:
Many thanks to all those who have volunteered to speak at the ‘Open Your Eyes Week’, spread over the 9 Fitzalan cluster primary schools. The careers week is part of the wider Cardiff Commitment initiative – an initiative that engages schools and businesses to better prepare young people for the world of work. During the week employers have been asked to talk to the year 6 pupils about their company and their job role. The idea around the week is that we inspire and ignite interest in a wide range of occupations.
For those employers who weren’t able to take part in the week and would like to get involved in more opportunities like this, please fill out the Cardiff Commitment employer survey (if you haven’t done so already) and send it to [email protected].
Cardiff Council will be posting about the week on social media using the below accounts and hashtags. Please get involved on social media, especially if you are speaking at any of the schools:

Thank you again to all those who volunteered. The schools and pupils are really looking forward to the week and through the Cardiff Commitment initiative we hope to provide more opportunities like this to young people in Cardiff.
