Disabled workers deserve to be treated fairly. Yet analysis by the TUC has found that the average disability pay gap stands at around 15%.
That’s the equivalent of being paid nearly £3k less a year.
Barriers make it very difficult or impossible to access jobs, buildings, or services. But the biggest barrier of all is the problem of people’s attitudes.
We need serious action to take away the barriers preventing disabled workers getting on.
Disabled people deserve more. And union reps can help remove barriers and make adjustments in the workplace.
