National Windrush Day Funding Announcement 2024

Race Council Cymru have announced that applications for the Windrush Grant 2024, funded by the Welsh Government, is now open. This grant supports Organisations and community groups across Wales in celebrating 76th anniversary of the Windrush Generation’s arrival in the UK.

Why Apply?

In 2023, the Windrush Grant funded 44 diverse projects, from musical concerts and storytelling sessions to educational workshops and cultural dinners, all of which fostered community spirit and celebrated the invaluable contributions of the Windrush Generation.

What’s New in 2024?

For the 76th anniversary, we continue to honour the legacy of the Windrush Generation with grants up to £2000. Your projects and events between June and August 2024 can help us celebrate, educate, and promote inclusivity.
