11.15am: Introductions: Janet Fischer and Heather Chandler (LMN) Older People’s Commissioner for Wales
11.30am: Sharing: • Participatory warm-up activity led by LMN musician – example of LMN’s work in care homes
• Sharing from care homes who have worked with LMN • Delegates encouraged to share examples of music activities in their care homes
12.15pm: Amgueddfa Cymru – Museums Inspiring Memories Using Amgueddfa Cymru’s collections and resources to improve the health and wellbeing of those affected by dementia
1pm: Lunch- another opportunity to tour site Tai Chi Demo – Age Cymru
2pm: Carousel of two groups across two sessions 45 mins Training: Music activities for older people living in care with Andrea Vogler 45 mins Training: Age Cymru – How the little things make life big
3.30: Research: Delegates asked to complete short online/paper survey on needs/how we meet them. Accompanied by background music provided by LMN musicians.
4pm: NAPA talk
4.15pm: Afternoon tea with live music from LMN musicians and MSS thank you.

Live Music Now Cymru, Age Cymru and Amgueddfa Cymru are hosting the first FREE celebration and training event for activities coordinators in Residential Homes, Nursing Homes and Day Centres in Wales on the 29 September 2022 at St Fagans National Museum of History, Cardiff.
Who should come?
Activities coordinators, care teams and providers employed in residential settings, nursing homes, day centres and hospitals across Wales who are running activities for older people.
What’s happening?
The day will include: live music from Live Music Now musicians; practical training activities and resources to grow the use of live music and creative and cultural activities in care; afternoon tea and cake; a good lunch; and a chance to look around the Museum. Training counts towards CPD.
With special guests Julie Morgan MS, Deputy Minister for Social Services: Senedd Cymru and Heléna Herklots, Older People’s Commissioner for Wales. There will also be a contribution from the National Activities Providers Association.
