LGBTQ+ Pathways to Parenthood – Free Course

Join Fertility Network UK every Thursday from the 10th August at 7pm, for our new 6-week series covering LGBTQ+ Pathways to Parenthood. The course offers FREE digital access to expert opinion and advice from our excellent guest speakers. Our topics and guest speakers for this series include:

  • Overview of all pathways and options (including surrogacy, adoption, routes to parenthood for those who are trans and non-binary) with Francesca Steyn from the Royal College of Nursing
  • Fertility treatment processes and what to expect at the clinic with Carole Gilling‑Smith​, CEO & Medical Director at the Agora Clinic, Brighton
  • Donor conception support with Nina Barnsley, Director at the Donor Conception Network
  • Funding: NHS funding (how to find out your entitlements and if needed, how to challenge) and the role of IVF insurance with Fertility Network UK and Gaia Insurance
  • Legal Implications for Modern Families with Natalia Gamble from NGA Law
  • Real Stories – hear from LGBTQ+ families and their own personal experiences including Laura-Rose Thorogood from LGBT Mummies, Michael Johnson-Ellis from Twodads.u.k, Libby King from Bourne This Way- LGBT+ Parent Support Group and 2 couples who completed their families via adoption (including Lee Newberry – the author of the award-winning book The Last Firefox)
