Gwent Police are recruiting Community Safety Officers, and we are genuinely looking to recruit talented people from a Black, Asian or other ethnic minority background. Gwent has an evolving diverse community, where policing is dependent on building public trust and confidence. We are working towards being a more inclusive employer, and we know we can’t do this without making sure we are reflective of the communities we serve.

We will be holding an awareness event on the 13th of February 2019 at the Newport Leisure Centre 1 Kingsway NP20 1UH from 6pm until 8pm and would love you to join us to find out more, not only about our upcoming Police Officer posts, but also about the other voluntary and paid opportunities within our organisation. You’ll be able to speak to existing officers, learn more about the Police and what we do – we’ll even make you a cup of tea! Please email [email protected] to let us know you are coming.

Can’t make it? Just drop us an email to let us know you are interested and we will keep you updated, including application dates and further support that will be available to you throughout the recruitment process.
