Good Food Cardiff – Autumn Festival

Welcome to 2nd Good Food Cardiff Autumn Festival!

The Festival is a Covid-19 secure, city-wide programme of food events to help communities to grow their own food, share produce and connect with neighbours. Stronger communities will be better able to recover from lockdown and deal with future challenges.

The festival will also celebrate Cardiff’s Silver Sustainable Food Places Award and launch Cardiff’s 5 Good Food Goals which have been developed by over 2,500 people in the city.

By taking part, you’ll be building on the success of last year’s Autumn Festival where community groups, gardens, local businesses and schools organised 45 events and activities, attracting around 4,000 attendees and distributed more than 5,000 vegetable plants.

Please see further information below and attached. Please continue to register your interest and you can also join us next Friday for a Q&A session with C3SC.

Grant offer

Food Cardiff are offering small grants of £50 – £150 to enable not for profit groups to host events or activities as part of the festival. The money can be used for activity costs (for example, seeds, transport, technology, food etc.), equipment (for example, induction hobs, fridges, durable gardening tools, compost stations etc.), staff costs, or a combination of the three.

We invite applications for events which promote the 5 Good Food Goals (see below) and take place in the Cardiff Local Authority area between the 16th and 24th October 2021.
