Gain Counselling Skills – Accredited Courses

Run by Place2Be, a leading UK children’s mental health charity.

Suitable for: those interested in counselling or working with children and young people Place2Be’s Level 2 Award is active, hands-on and highly child-focused.

What you will learn:

  • Counselling skills and theory
  • Techniques to improve communication with children
  • Self-awareness
  • An understanding of attachment theory

The Level 2 Award also provides a progression route onto further counselling training.

When: One day per week (Fridays) for eight weeks

Where: Llandaff North & Gabalfa Hub, Gabalfa Avenue, Cardiff, CF14 2HU.

Cost: £450

Next steps: Before applying for Place2Be’s Level 2 Award, you will need to book a place on our Taster Day to see whether the course is right for you.

Taster Days: 20th October, 20th November 2017
Level 2 Award: 1st December 2017–9th February 2018
